On behalf of Cross and Crown Church, we are requesting your attendance to a benefit event for Emily Rios. Emily was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy at 10 months of age. Emily is now 3 years old and has overcome many obstacles. Our goal through this benefit would be to make available all the resources Emily needs to overcome this disease. You can make this goal possible by donating. All the proceeds will be utilized to continue to provide the best possible care available for Emily Rios.
Proceeds will benefit "Marshall's Miles" an organization dedicated to fighting Spinal Muscular Atrophy and providing assistance to it's victims and their families.
This walk is to honor my precious niece Tala. She is our angel. This walk is not only to raise money for FSMA but to raise awareness about this horrible disease. It would mean the world to my family if you all would come out and show your support and walk with us in honor of Tala.
Help us celebrate our 10th anniversary this year! Join us on July 9th at the Esso Rebecca Run for SMA. Participate in the run, enjoy our amazing post run bbq and let the kids go wild at the face painting station

The son of Jackson Laboratory event manager Renee La Casse is seeking individual and corporate sponsors for his climbs of 25 mountains in Acadia National Park in Maine. The fundraiser begins July 2 when he climbs Parkman, Gilmore, Sargent, Penobscot and Cedar Swamp mountains (51/2-mile hike up Sargent, the highest at 1,373 feet, according to Gus) and continues with other climbs through July. It ends when he climbs Mount Katahdin July 31.
As you know, we raise money every year for Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Our goal is to raise money until there is a treatment. Since we began in 1996, they have found the cause of the disease, stopped it in mice, and are now trying to find a safe way to treat humans.
This year we are having a Quarter Auction on May 6th at the K.C Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the auction starting at 7. At a quarter auction you buy a... paddle for $5.00 with $4.00 going to the charity. There are approximately 20 vendors around the room who donate multiple items to be auctioned off. The bids are from 1 to 4 quarters, and if you bid, you hold up your paddle. They pull numbers until someone’s number that is raised is pulled. There will also be silent auction items.
